What if I forgot my password?
After clicking on "Login" on the top right corner, select "Forgot Your Password?" You will have an option to type in your email address and an email message will be sent with information about how to reset your password. Be sure to check your spam folder for the email. If a message does not come within an hour, please email loopohio@dodd.ohio.gov for help.
What are the orange dots on the "My Loop" page?
The orange dots are to notify you that there are new comments in a conversation.
How can I update my profile?
After logging in, click on your name on the top right corner of the screen. Select "Profile" from the drop down menu. Click on the blue button that says "Update Your Profile" under your name and picture. Here you can change your name, update your password, add a picture, and update additional details.
What does following a person mean? How do I do it?
Following a person is a way to connect with conversations and other activities another Loop Ohio user is involved with. This could be especially helpful if you want to stay current on information posted by a particular mentor. To follow another community member, find a conversation or comment that they have made and then click on their hyperlinked name. This will take you to their profile where you can select the blue button that says "Follow." This person and their activity will then appear on your "My Loop" page. You can also follow a mentor by selecting the "Mentors" tab and clicking on the "Follow" button under the mentor’s information
What does following a topic mean? How do I do it?
Following a topic will allow you to quickly see the latest conversations and events related to a particular topic on your My Loop page. To follow a topic, go to either the "Conversations" or "Events" tab. On the left side, there is a list of topics. Select the topic that you are interested and click on the "Follow Topic" button that appears on the bottom left, under the topic list.
How can I unfollow people, topics, or conversations?
If you no longer want to follow a person, visit their profile and click on the green "Following" button. Mentors can be unfollowed by going to the "Mentor" tab and selecting the green "Following" button under the mentor’s information. To unfollow a topic, click on either the "Conversations" or "Events" tab and select the topic from the list on the left. Then click the green "Following Topic" button that appears at the bottom of the topic list.
Can I have a private conversation with someone?
Yes. When clicking on someone’s name, you are taken to their profile. There you will see a button that says "Start Conversation." On this page, there is an option to check that you would like to make this conversation "private." Private conversations are shown in the My Loop page and are indicated by the "lock" icon.
How do I view a conversation?
To view a conversation in the "Conversation" tab, click on the title of the conversation that is in large, bold blue letters.
How do I filter conversations or events?
If you want to see only conversations or events related to a particular topic, click on the topic listed on the left of the "Conversations" or "Events" pages.
How do I start a conversation?
To start a conversation, click on the on the blue button that says "Start a Conversation" below the topic list on the "Conversations" tab. You will see space to title your conversation, space to type what you want to say, and asked to assign a topic. Selecting a topic will help to connect your conversation with others related to a similar topic.
How can I post resources?
The best way to post resources is to share a link where the resource is housed. If you have a document that is not online, such as in a PDF or other format, please email loopohio@dodd.ohio.gov to get support from the Loop Ohio team.
How do I comment on a conversation?
To comment on a conversation, first click on the title of the conversation that is listed in bold, blue letters in the "Conversations" tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page and type in the text box labeled "Add a comment to this conversation." Type what you would like to say and click on the blue button that says "Add Comment".
Can I edit a comment?
You are not able to edit comments, but you can delete a comment and retype if you want to make changes.
How can I edit or delete a conversation?
After you post a conversation, you can edit by clicking on the title of your conversation either in the "My Loop" or "Conversations" tab. Click on the hyperlinked text that says "Delete" or "Edit" below your conversation text.
How are conversations organized?
Conversations appear in the "Conversations" tab by most recently updated. This means that whatever conversation has been started or comment has been made most recently will be at the top of the page. You can also organize conversations by filtering for a particular topic by selecting a topic in the list on the left of the conversation list.

Following a conversation connects you on your "My Loop" page to a certain conversations and updates you when there are new comments. To follow a conversation, click on the title of the conversation that is listed in bold, blue letters in the "Conversations" tab. In the top section of the conversation, you will then click on the blue button that says "Follow."
What do the different event statuses mean?
Loop Ohio has many different events listed; some are hosted by Loop Ohio and others are posted by community members. The event statuses help describe where each event is being hosted and if you can view an archived version. See the descriptions of each status below:
Where do I find archived webinars?
Archived webinars are under the "Events" tab and can be easily found by selecting "Archived" under the "Filter by Status" section on the left side of the page.
Can I share an event that is happening where I live or that I am involved with?
Yes. Events on Loop Ohio are for the community to share and promote events as well as to highlight activities that are being hosted on Loop Ohio.
How do I post an event?
To post an event, click on the "Events" tab and scroll down. Click on the blue button that says "Add Your Event." Events are then sent to the Loop Ohio team for approval. Note that events that promote a particular provider or are related to fundraising will not be posted publicly.
How do I register for events?
You may have the option of registering for events, if the event is to be hosted on Loop Ohio. This is designated in the "Upcoming on Loop" status. To register, click on the title of the event, which is in bold, blue font. In the event details, there will be a button that says "Register." Click on this button to register for the event. This event will now appear on your "My Loop" page. Some events may be hosted on another site or in person, which will have a different way to register and information will be provided in the event description.
I registered for a webinar. Now what?
You will receive a confirmation email for the event. On the day of the event, you can either click on the link that was emailed to you or you can go to the "Events" tab of Loop Ohio and select the event by clicking on the event title. You will then press the play button on the video section of the screen. For more information, see the question about "What if I am having difficulty viewing live webinars?".
What if I am having difficulty viewing live webinars?
If you are having audio or video issues while watching a live webinar on Loop Ohio, first try reloading the page and starting the video again. If this does not work, try accessing the webinar using a different browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome). If this does not work, check your internet and audio connections to verify that they are working properly. If this does not work, try accessing the webinar from another computer or device (e.g. mobile phone, tablet).
